Create a Port Forwarding Entry
On the port forwarding section of your Arris TG1682G router, create a port forwarding entry as follows:
- Click on the ADD SERVICE tab
- On the Common Service dropdown, select Other
- Select the protocol, whether TCP, UDP, or Both, using the Service Type dropdown.
- Input the IP address you are forwarding the ports to in the Server IPv4 Address box but leave the Server IPv6 Address boxes blank.
- Enter the highest and lowest port numbers in the Start Port and End Port boxes, respectively, if forwarding a range of ports and the same port number in both boxes for single port forwarding.
- Click the Save button and test your ports to see if they are open.
